Custom embroidery and t-shirt printing in Calgary

Quick answer

SURE Print Foothills offers custom embroidery and t-shirt printing in Calgary. We embroider logos on hats, polos and jackets in up to 4 thread colours, and we print t-shirts and hoodies with DTF (direct-to-film) and screen printing. Every order is decorated in-house at our shop at 3660 60 Ave SE, with a proof first.

Apparel is the one piece of branding people choose to wear. A good company shirt shows up at job sites in Seton, at the Saturday soccer game and on the C-Train for years after the event it was made for. A bad one ends up as a rag in the garage. The difference is usually the decoration method and the garment, and those are the two things we spend the most time on with customers.

We run embroidery, DTF and screen printing under one roof, so we don't have a reason to push you toward one over the others. Tell us what you're making, how many you need and what the artwork looks like. We'll tell you which method fits, and why.

Since we also print your business cards, signs and vehicle graphics, we already have your logo files and colours. Your shirts end up matching the rest of your brand instead of looking close enough.

Why SURE

Why Calgary businesses bring this work to us

01

Three methods, honest advice

Embroidery, DTF and screen printing all happen here. We recommend the one that suits your artwork and quantity, not the one we happen to have open.

02

Your logo, done properly

Our designers clean up fuzzy logos, simplify fine detail for stitching and separate colours for screens, so the finished piece looks like your brand.

03

Proof before production

You get a proof showing placement, size and colours before we decorate a single garment.

04

Matches everything else you print

We've printed for Calgary businesses since 1985. Your apparel can use the same files and colours as your cards, signs and vehicle wraps.

Which decoration method should you choose?

Embroidery is the right call for hats, polos, jackets and anything that gets washed a lot or needs to look professional. Stitching adds texture and lasts as long as the garment does. It works best on logos with bold shapes, and our embroidery runs up to 4 thread colours, so very detailed or photographic art isn't a good match.

Screen printing tends to suit larger runs with a small number of colours. Each colour needs its own screen, so there's setup work at the start. Once that's done, it prints quickly and the ink feels soft and wears well. Fifty event shirts with a one-colour logo? Screen print.

DTF suits full-colour designs and small runs. There are no screens, so photos, gradients and many colours cost no more to set up than a single colour. It's also the easy way to put individual names and numbers on each shirt.

Not sure? Send us the artwork and the quantity. That's usually all we need to point you in the right direction.

FAQ

Embroidery & T-Shirt Printing questions

How much does custom t-shirt printing cost in Calgary?

The price depends on the garment you choose, how many you order, the decoration method, the number of colours and how many print locations you want. Larger runs usually bring the per-shirt price down, especially with screen printing. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll email you a detailed quote.

What's the difference between embroidery and printing?

Embroidery stitches your design into the fabric with thread, which gives it texture and makes it very durable. Printing puts ink or a transfer on the surface. Embroidery suits hats, polos and jackets, while printing suits t-shirts, hoodies and full-colour designs.

Can I bring my own shirts?

Ask us first. Some garments decorate well and some don't, depending on the fabric and how they're made. We can tell you whether your items will work or suggest garments that will.

How many colours can you embroider?

Our embroidery runs up to 4 thread colours per design. Most logos fit within that, and our designers can simplify artwork that has more colours or fine detail so it stitches cleanly.

Do you do one-off shirts or only bulk orders?

We do both. DTF is usually the practical choice for a single shirt or a small batch, and screen printing makes more sense as quantities climb. Call or walk in and we'll talk through your options.
