Marketing material design in Calgary

A flyer gets about three seconds on the counter before it's kept or tossed. We design for those three seconds.

Marketing material design in Calgary

Quick answer

SURE Print Foothills designs printed marketing materials in Calgary, including flyers, brochures, menus, postcards, door hangers, booklets and business cards. Our in-house designers handle layout, copy hierarchy, bleed and fold setup, then print the job on our Xerox digital or Heidelberg offset presses after you approve a proof.

Good marketing pieces are mostly about order. What does someone need to read first? Usually it's what you're offering and why they should care, then how to reach you. We see plenty of flyers with the logo huge and the phone number in 8 pt type at the bottom. That's backwards.

Our designers lay out your piece with a clear reading order, then handle the technical side: bleed so there are no white slivers at the trim, safe margins so nothing gets cut off, and panels that line up with the folds on a tri-fold brochure. If you already have a design you like, we can adapt it to a new size or format instead.

FAQ

Marketing Material Design questions

Can you write the text for my flyer?

We can tighten up and organise the text you send so it fits the layout and reads clearly. If you need a lot written from scratch, mention it when you ask for a quote.

What is bleed, and why does it matter?

Bleed is extra image area that runs past the trim line, usually about 1/8 inch. It's cut off after printing so your colours and photos go right to the edge without white slivers. We add it to every file we design.

Can you redesign a brochure another company made?

Yes. Send us the old file or a printed copy and tell us what you want changed. We can refresh it or rebuild it entirely.

Will my design look the same printed as it does on screen?

Close, but screens are brighter than paper. Your proof shows the layout and content, and we choose colours that print well so there are no big surprises.
